VACANCY – COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT (DIGITAL CONTENT & SOCIAL MEDIA)
St. Vincent Electricity Service Limited (VINLEC) is seeking to recruit an innovative, dynamic and results-oriented individual to fill the position of Communications Assistant (Digital Content & Social Media).
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Communications Officer, the Communications Assistant (Digital Content & Social Media) supports the Company’s function through the planning, preparation, scheduling and monitoring of content for social media platforms, website and other digital channels. He/she will also contribute to timely, accurate and engaging internal and external communication, public education, campaigns and corporate initiatives. Key responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the development and implementation of social media plans, digital communication tactics and campaign schedules

Creating and maintaining monthly content calendars for approved digital platforms

Drafting, scheduling and publishing approved content for social media, Company
website and other digital channels

Assisting with updating and maintain website and digital platform content to ensure information is timely, accurate and consistent.

Supporting communication activities for campaigns, events, outages, safety initiatives, customer education and corporate programmes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Media and Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a communication, media, marketing, digital content or related environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills
-
Proven understanding and practical use of major social media platforms and digital
communication channels
-
Ability to draft captions, notices, web updates and short-form content within approved
brand and communication standards

Good organisational and time management skills
-
Strong interpersonal skills
-
Attention to detail, accuracy and consistency
