VACANCY – FITTER 3

A vacancy exists within the Company for a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Mechanic (Fitter 3).

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be required to check and carry out mechanical maintenance on diesel generators and auxiliary equipment and assist in the installation of new and repaired equipment. He/she will also operate and maintain drill press, threading machine, grinding machine, oxyacetylene and electric arc welding equipment, lathe, hydraulic press, and overhead crane. All these duties will be carried out with substantial supervision and instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of five CSEC/GCSE O’Levels including English, Mathematics and a related Science subject
• Successful completion of a Mechanical Programme at a Vocational/Technical Institute with City & Guilds or equivalent
• A minimum of three (3) years related work experience.
