ST. VINCENT ELECTRICITY SERVICES LIMITED BUILDING SERVICEMAN

St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited is seeking to recruit a meticulous individual to fill the post of Building Serviceman, Planning Department.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, rehabilitating and maintaining VINLEC-owned or controlled buildings by providing skilled services in carpentry, masonry, and plumbing maintenance. Duties will include implementing site and plant modifications and improvements based on approved plans, assisting in the assessment of required maintenance work, and leading small work teams, where necessary. He/she will also be required to assist with the layout and marking of construction works, and with the preparation of sites and materials necessary for executing construction activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Completion of Secondary School education

• Formal training in building construction, with demonstrated ability to perform carpentry, masonry, tiling, plumbing and steel bending

• A minimum of two (2) years work-related experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficient in building maintenance and construction

• Skilled in carpentry, masonry, tiling, plumbing and steel bending

• Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented

• Committed to upholding safety standards and best practices
